My name is Ashutosh Jha. I am a finance professional based in India with direct, hands-on experience across equity markets, derivatives trading, financial operations, and regulatory compliance.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Annai Violet Arts and Science College, Madras University, with a specialization in Business and Finance. This formal education, combined with years of practical experience working inside the financial system, has given me a strong foundation in both theoretical concepts and real-world application.
FinGTaj is my attempt to share what I have learned through years of working in the financial markets - not from textbooks alone, but from real market participation and professional practice.
Finance affects every major decision in life — whether to take a loan, where to keep savings, when to start investing, and how to avoid the common traps that cost ordinary people significant money every year. Yet most financial content online either assumes too much prior knowledge or oversimplifies to the point of being misleading.
FinGTaj exists to bridge this gap by providing clear, practical, and honest guidance for everyday Indians.

Professional Background
I currently work as a Quality Analyst in the finance domain, with a primary focus on equity investments and compliance systems. My responsibilities in this role centre on ensuring accuracy in financial processes, maintaining adherence to regulatory standards, and analysing operational procedures with a rigorous, detail-oriented approach. Working at the intersection of financial operations and compliance has given me a clear-eyed view of how financial systems function in practice — including where they are most likely to go wrong for retail participants.
Prior to this, I worked as an Equity Dealer, a role that placed me at the centre of real-time market activity. My responsibilities included executing trades across equity derivatives segments, monitoring client portfolios for risk exposure, managing position limits, and ensuring that order execution aligned with both client objectives and regulatory requirements.
At the same time, I was actively involved in evaluating and analysing a wide range of third-party investment products, including Insurance, Bonds, IPOs, and other financial instruments. This broad exposure gave me deep practical insight into how different asset classes behave, their risk-return profiles, and how they fit into an investor’s overall portfolio.
This experience was highly formative. It taught me how markets behave under pressure, why discipline is non-negotiable in trading and investing, and how quickly the absence of a proper risk management framework can translate into significant capital loss — for both institutions and individual investors.
Certifications
I have completed the following certifications from the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), the regulatory education body established by SEBI:
My Education & Professional Certifications
All certifications are valid and actively maintained.
My NISM & SEBI Certifications
These certifications are not decorative. Each one required a substantive understanding of a specific domain within Indian financial markets and is governed by SEBI's regulatory framework. They inform the accuracy and depth of everything written on this platform.
Why I Started FinGTaj
The reason FinGTaj exists is straightforward: there is a significant gap between what financial professionals know and what most working Indians are able to access in plain, practical language.
I have watched people make avoidable financial mistakes — not because they were careless, but because the information available to them was either too complex, too generic, or written by someone with no real-world experience in the subject. A guide to equity derivatives written by someone who has never executed a trade. A comparison of brokerages written by someone who has never opened an account. A personal loan guide that omits the DP charges and processing fees that change the real cost of borrowing.
FinGTaj is my attempt to correct that. Every article on this platform is written from direct professional experience. When I write about CIBIL scores, derivatives trading, personal loan charges, or mutual fund SIPs, it is because I have worked within these systems — not merely read about them.
My Approach to Financial Writing
I have three non-negotiable standards that apply to every article published on FinGTaj.
Accuracy first. Every figure, rate, regulatory reference, and platform detail is verified against primary sources — RBI circulars, SEBI regulations, official AMC and brokerage pricing pages — before it appears on this site. I do not publish estimates as facts, and I do not allow outdated information to remain uncorrected once I become aware of it.
Practical over theoretical. Every article on FinGTaj is written with a specific decision in mind — whether to apply for a personal loan, which broker to use, how much to keep in an emergency fund, when to start investing. If an article cannot help a reader make a better decision, it does not meet the standard for publication here.
Honest about limitations. Finance is a broad subject, and I am not an expert in everything within it. Where an article touches on tax planning, legal structures, or personalised financial planning, I say clearly that a qualified professional — a SEBI-registered investment adviser, a chartered accountant, or a certified financial planner — is the appropriate resource for advice specific to your situation. I do not pretend to know more than I do.
A Note on Independence
FinGTaj is entirely self-funded and independent. I do not accept payment from any financial institution, brokerage, AMC, or advertiser in exchange for editorial coverage or product recommendations. Every comparison, every review, and every recommendation on this site reflects my genuine assessment based on publicly available information and professional experience.
